With Alabama OT Andre Smith going AWOL this morning here at the Combine before being eventually found, it’s going to raise more red flags about him.
NFL teams were already questioning his passion for the game with him leaning against not working out. There were also unconfirmed reports that he admitted in an interview with one NFL team that he hasn’t done anything to prepare for the Combine over the past four or five weeks.
You better believe teams will be investigating that. And if passion for the game is even a question mark, this guy could plummet to the bottom third of the first round. There are three other comparable offensive tackles in Jason Smith, Michael Oher and Eugene Monroe that teams will now prefer in light of this event.
